Mix Premier, whose real name is Emile Joël Sofonnou, is a singer and songwriter of Ivorian nationality. Born in Cotonou, Benin, to a Beninese father and an Ivorian mother, he moved to Côte d’Ivoire in 1992, where he grew up and built his musical career.
He is a prominent figure in the Coupé-Décalé genre, blending Afropop, electronic, and world music influences. His latest single, “C’est le Moment”, released in April 2025.
